I am a specialist in surgical gastrointestinal diseases and have for 8 years been a senior consultant surgeon at the Gastro Unit at Herlev University Hospital.
I am an internationally certified colo-rectal gastrosurgeon. As a surgeon at the hospital my primary area was surgical gastrointestinal diseases. I was, among other things, responsible for the introduction of laparoscopic (aka “key-hole surgery”) and robotic surgery for colon cancer and other intestinal diseases. At Herlev Hospital I held a highly specialized position in the treatment of complicated rectal disorders.
I am also a consultant in Patientombuddet – The Danish Patient Safety Authority.
